Notting Hill Carnival

Second only to the street party in Rio de Janeiro, the Carnival in Notting Hill is the world’s largest event. Millions of people descend on West London for the historical street carnival every year, and the area becomes an explosion of colour, dancing and delicious food. With political beginnings that celebrated Caribbean culture in the face of racism, the Carnival has grown and grown beyond all expectations, and is now world-famous for its sound systems, steel pan performances, and mas bands.

Our app features detailed maps, including one that live-tracks the floats on the parade. Among many other things, the app also allows the public to vote for their favourite steel pan band at the annual Panorama competition.
